Unpack how learning can be organised in an innovative learning environment, to best suit the needs of modern learners and how this relates to your teaching. Explore and discuss the theoretical frameworks that support pedagogical practices.

Learning Outcomes

Course participants will be able to:

  • develop strategies for creating a personalised, collaborative and reflective classroom
  • organise learning in an innovative learning environment
  • prepare learners for their future
  • respond to the impacts of new and emerging digital technologies

Who is this for

This course is intended for those passionate about exploring new strategies and tools, investigate the transition from theory to practice, and discover the complexities and rewards of teaching in the 21st century. Participants should have access to a classroom/teaching context that can be used as the context for completing tasks and applying the things they learn. The course is designed ideally for a group of staff from within a school, where they can collaboratively work on the themes and topics introduced within their school environment.

Course format

20 week course divided into 4 modules (5 weeks per module). The first module is the 5 week Introduction to Innovative Learning online programme.
