Helen Cooper

About me

Helen is a member of CORE's leadership team, and sponsor across Ministry PLD contracts awarded to CORE. She supports and guides project teams, providing leadership in design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. Her role with PLD programmes has involved providing strategic guidance and support for school leaders and facilitators. A key focus for Helen is collaborative partnerships and governance. She has worked with a range of organisations and communities  and currently is part of the Puaka governance group for Grow Waitaha, supporting Canterbury schools the process of change.

 

Helen joined CORE in 2011, leaving a role as Senior Advisor in the e-Learning Unit, of the National Office of the Ministry of Education. Prior to that role, Helen was the Senior Advisors Arts responsible for Arts curriculum development and Arts NCEA implementation. Helen has a history in teacher professional learning and development (Christchurch College of Education), national assessment (NZQA) and secondary teaching.
