Powhiri uLearn18
Powhiri 1 Powhiri 2
Powhiri 4 Powhiri 3

On Tuesday afternoon, uLearn18 was officially opened with tangata whenua (hosts) calling on the manuhiri (visitors) into the Sky City Convention centre.

The Whaikōrero (speeches) from tangata whenua and manuhuri talked about where their tipuna had travelled from (waka). In between each orator a waiata (song) was sung and at the end of the proceedings, both manuhiri and tangata whenua came together to greet each other through hongi.

We finished with kai (food) and korero (chatting) sign posting the start of uLearn18.
