About the seminar

Participants will explore how a focus on the measurement of deep learning competencies enables powerful shifts in school system conditions, pedagogical practices, and student outcomes. New Pedagogies for Deep Learning (NPDL) is a global network of schools that are partnering together to develop new knowledge and practices that make deep learning a reality across whole systems of schools. Using an extensive range of global tools and processes, NPDL members collaborate to best enable students’ development of the six deep learning competencies (the “6Cs”) – character, citizenship, collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking.

What’s the key to success with deep learning? It’s meaningful because it’s measurable. Introducing the measures and other tools that make deep learning real and realisable, Joanne McEachen and Margot McKeegan will demonstrate how a comprehensive system of deep learning measurement is the key to unlocking the 6Cs for all.
