Day One: Janelle Riki-Waaka and Dr Lucy Hone. Janelle’s career has been dedicated to improving the learning journey for all tamariki, with a particular focus on enhancing success for Māori learners. Lucy is a director of the New Zealand Institute of Wellbeing and Resilience, researcher and best-selling author.
Day Two: of this year’s virtual conference features Pedro Noguera and Professor Peter O’Connor. All the way from UCLA, Pedro’s research focuses on the social and economic influences on learning communities. Peter’s work centres on the idea that the arts train the imagination.
