About me

Kia ora,

I am an accredited facilitator working for CORE Education. Between 2015 and 2019, my mahi focused on supporting the Manaiakalani Outreach Programme, facilitating in the Toki Pounamu Outreach cluster on the South Island’s West Coast. These schools are part of Kāhui Ako Māwhera or Westland. Prior to working at CORE, I taught visual arts, social sciences, and other subjects for sixteen years at Papatoetoe High School and Epsom Girls Grammar School in Auckland, and Westland High School in Hokitika. I also worked with the WestNet (NetNZ) online learning community, teaching art history. I've worked with Cognition Education facilitating the Visual Arts Community for Arts Online. I participated in a Teaching and Learning Research Initiative ‘Designing Knowledge Building Communities in Secondary Schools’, investigating how teachers can prepare learners to become personal and communal knowledge creators.

I support leaders and teachers to work in professional learning groups to shift teaching practice and pedagogy. I am interested in leveraging creativity and digital technologies to develop learner agency.
