I'm the Events Manager for CORE Education. I oversee the events programmes and liaise with speakers re their content. uLearn is our flagship event. We invite speakers as keynotes and to participate in spotlight sessions and panels and prepare a comprehensive participatory breakout programme over three days, made up of submitted abstracts and invited guests. I am always open to receiving recommendations about dynamic speakers that you think would have a good synergy with the audience and our conference themes, which are written each year around key educational issues and developments.
The Events team also create new events and co-create events with partners. For example we have run CORE Leaders' Summits, a regional DigiTech Roadshow ( Whangarei, Ak, Tauranga, New Plymouth, Nelson, Dunedin)to name a couple. We ran 'Changing Spaces' events in collaboration with Stonefields School and have customised events for Communities of Learning I Kāhui Ako and clusters so provide for localised PLD needs.
